Knowing when to enroll in Medicare is not always easy. For most people, the right answer is three months before they turn 65. For folks who have health insurance from their, or a spouse's, employer, the answer can be more complicated. Once you're enrolled in Medicare, knowing what you're actually covered for is a separate question.
