How Much Does Medicare Part B Cost In 2025?
- Monthly premium — $185
- Your premium may vary depending on your
MAGI
(modified adjusted gross income) - For example, if your MAGI exceeds a certain amount (as per your IRS tax return from 2 years ago), you may be subject to an
income-related monthly adjustment amount (IRMAA)
. You would pay the IRMAA in addition to the standard premium
- Annual deductible — $257
- Coinsurance - 80% of the bill after the deductible. You'll pay the final 20%.
- Example: You have a $50,000 surgery. You first pay the deductible ($257), then Part B pays 80% (about $40,000) and you pay the final 20% (about $10,000).
